Meade County Schools is proud to announce that Mrs. Annette Fackler, Principal of David T. Wilson Elementary, has been named one of three finalists for the WKU Distinguished Principal Award.

Mrs. Fackler, a proud alumna of Western Kentucky University, has dedicated her entire 20-year career to Meade County Schools. Since becoming Principal of David T. Wilson Elementary in 2018, she has led with an unwavering commitment to excellence, fostering a positive school culture where every student knows they matter and are cared for. Under her leadership, DTW has implemented innovative programs such as the House System, which builds a sense of belonging, leadership, and teamwork among students and staff.

"Annette Fackler exemplifies the qualities of a distinguished principal," said Dr. Mark Martin, Superintendent of Meade County Schools. "Her dedication to growing her team, supporting students, and creating a culture of success makes her an outstanding representative of Meade County Schools and WKU alumni."

The WKU Distinguished Educator & Administrator Awards celebrate educators who significantly contribute to the teaching profession. Finalists will be recognized this spring, and winners will receive a commemorative plaque and recognition in WKU's College of Education and Behavioral Sciences.
