Friday was a fun-filled day! We were excited to welcome our 3rd grade Patriots as they toured the next chapter of their journey at Flaherty Elementary.
Our amazing 6th grade leaders went above and beyond—guiding students through an interactive tour, answering questions during a Q&A session, and ending the experience with a celebratory tunnel. We are so proud of the leadership and enthusiasm they showed! We are so excited to welcome our newest 4th graders back in August! ?

What an incredible day at the Flaherty Schools Campus! We loved welcoming our Meade County FFA students—especially seeing so many familiar faces, including former Blue Devils and their amazing leaders, Callie Hobbs and Noel Pack.
Our students and staff had a blast interacting with all the furry friends, slithering friends, and even getting up close with farm equipment. It was a day full of excitement, learning, and unforgettable moments! 🐄🐍🚜

Huge thanks to our Flaherty families who have already started selling tickets for our Spring Fling Raffle! Every ticket sold helps provide school supplies for all our students next year and provides all of the fun celebration activities we have planned for the end of the year. Our goal is to sell 5,000 raffle tickets. The FES Spring Raffle kicks off soon! We’re selling tickets from April 6 to April 16 for just $1 each. We have three massive cash prizes up for grabs: $500, $350, and $150!
The winners will be drawn on the night of the Spring Fling (April 17). Keep an eye out—more information is coming home soon! Contact your homeroom teacher if you’d like to help us sell tickets.
We are so proud to celebrate March's Flaherty's Finest, who were recognized for showing off their problem-solving skills! These students are natural innovators who approach every challenge with a curious mind and a "can-do" spirit. Whether they are untangling a complex math problem or resolving a playground disagreement, they use logic, patience, and creativity to find a way forward. Their ability to think critically and stay calm under pressure sets a wonderful example for others and helps make our school community more resilient every day. Way to go!
Yesterday was a special day dedicated to one thing: Student Success. From the first whistle of our morning House Rally to the final cheers of our afternoon reward, the halls of FES were glowing with pride.
It was wonderful to see our teachers celebrating growth in their classrooms and watching our mentors give back by reading to the younger students at FPS. It takes a village, and yesterday, that village was loud and proud!

One of the crowd-favorite games at our Spring Family Night Spring Fling is the Two-Liter Ring Toss, and we need your help to make it a success! We are asking families to consider donating two-liter bottles of soda for this fun game.

Our students will take MAP tests March 17–19. These assessments help us measure each student’s growth and achievement throughout the school year — and celebrate how far they’ve come!
